Developing podcast english song as listening media for the students at the tenth grade of senior high school

Listening is one of the fundamental language skills. Based on the pre survey research,
may students at Senior High School have not attractiveness in listening course.This
research tried to develop podcast of English song as the media in order to help the
?ber in teaching listening and make the students interested in listening course.
Pbdcast of English Song (PES) have four levels such as beginner, medium, advance
md superstar.
The type of the reseacher is developmental research. The steps of this research were
self evaluation, expert review and one-to-one, small group, and ?eld test. The subject
of this research are 24 students at the tenth grade of Senior High School State 3 Metro
md 22 students at the tenth grade of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Metro.
The researcher collects the data by giving some questionnaires to the expert review and
students whether the media is applicable and suitable or not . Based on the result of
qaplicability, readability and audibility PES media per item the score was increasing in
erh steps. From the steps conducted by the researcher there are some revisions of the
pnduct from the ?rst prototype. The revisions are addition of level and song in PES
India giving instruction, and made the sound audible clearly . in the ?eld test the
mldents responded well and got interested in using the product. it means that the
mcihret can be used effectively in helping the students in listening.
