Key Words: Past Tense Mastery, Students 'Writing Narrative, Correlation.
Writing skill is the most dif?cult skill to develop. In the process of studying and
acquiring new languages writing process is more complex than other skills
especially in writing narrative text. Writing can not stand alone without any other
supported skills, for instance, master of grammar, vocabulary and etc. In addition,
writing has many genres. The. genre in this research is writing narrative. Writing
narrative is a genre of writing which tells about the activities or event at the past
time, that show problematic experience and resolution. The objectives of this
